Summary/Abstract: It was in a pub that I first met Bartales, a 25-year old man at the time. A friend of mine who was familiar with my PhD research topic told him about me and that I would like to interview him at some point. His vast financial resourses, much larger than that of an average person from Romania, were a surprise to me. We met that very day and spent about five hours talking about his family and relatives, the property they had lost and which they thought should own, about corruption and property in general.
