Summary/Abstract: The past decade can be designated as the key to solving criminal status of juve-niles in the criminal legislation of Serbia. Here, above all, we mean the adoption of a new and separate Law on Juvenile Offenders and Criminal Protection of Minors (en-tered into force on 01 January 2006). Specifically, the first time in Serbia, the entire criminal matter on juveniles (financial, procedural, enforceable) placed in a special law on minors. With the adoption of the minors, also the first time, introduced the legal pos-sibility for the imposition of specific measures against juveniles - diversion orders. The paper is divided into two parts, theoretical and legislative and research or practical. Legislative walks of diversion orders, although much more modest scale, include exposure to the legal requirements that must be met when making decisions about their possible ordering. In addition, it will be suggested to the jurisdiction, the types and proceedings for diversion orders. The practical aspect of the work includes research conducted in practice and application of educational orders in Serbia. The survey was conducted in three cities: Belgrade, Novi Sad and Krusevac. The main objective of the research was the answer to the main (basic) questions relating to the preparation and practice of diversion orders in Serbia.
