Summary/Abstract: Smuel Trigano, the French philosopher (and prophet), who recently published a book entitled Les frontières d’Auschwitz, analyses Europe in the light of the Shoa and its new interpretations in an interview with János Kőbányai, entitled Amid the ruins of modernity. Given the current changes in circumstances and power relations, he sees a dark future in a “weary” Europe – in which he too is seeking his place.
