Operational and overall capability of Visegrád Group countries to develop local governments

Summary/Abstract: The present study shows scientific investigations of financial preconditions for the development of local self-governments in the countries of the Visegrád Group. The main focus of the investigations was on the analysis and evaluation of both operational and overall capability to develop local governments and the structure and dynamics of budget revenues and expenditures in Poland as compared to local governments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The research period covered the years 2004-2011.
