Entry modes of Polish foreign direct investment – research results

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the research results carried out in the years 2007-2008 among Polish direct investors. The empirical findings refer to the entry modes of foreign direct in-vestment of Polish enterprises according to the level of control over its overseas operation, such as full ownership (a subsidiary or a branch) or joint venture. The analysis carried out in the paper was based on three criteria – the entry mode such as greenfield or acquisition, the type of economic activity and the geographic location of the foreign affiliate.
