Summary/Abstract: The author deals in a critical manner the always actual and constant problem of being contemporary with the classic literature. Advocating for an approach that relies on deciphering the message of the text content and on analysing the situation proposed by the writer, the author suggests that a classical text must not be “changed” to become current, but its inner structure has to be rediscovered, the characters need to be reconstructed while keeping the relationship between them unchanged. Only when the artist will know all the basic components of the text, one will be able to revive the so deeply and eternally restless universe of classical writings.
