Summary/Abstract: “ The use of English in everyday speech is common knowledge. However, our aim is not to investigate the causes of this invasion, but to focus on th language used in the business environment, where business people use a kind of jargon, a technical language which is much different from common speech. Studies show that English is more and more used in business, the outcome of this usage being the above mentioned jargon, also called Romglish / RomEnglish. We have tried to evaluate to what extent English has entered the Romanian business vocabulary, by administrating a questionnaire to 100 people working in various areas of business. Our study will present the conclusions we have arrived at, after analysing and interpreting the results.”
