Summary/Abstract: Bulgarian women who succeed in escaping from trafficking have to face complicated and sometimes stupid procedures, norms and rules through which they have to go in order to restore their basic human rights of administratively being citizens of the country. Often, women victims of trafficking find themselves unfit for their own country which, firstly, is unable to take them back and, secondly, to take care of them. Victims of trafficking are often viewed as outsiders by society, as if they have violated its rules and regulations. There are many cases when even the families and relatives of the victims are not prepared to treat them as before. On the other hand, Women that have suffered trafficking expect on their return a kind of compensation for what they have survived. This battle can not be won without the help and understanding of the society that allows events like the trafficking of women to happen.
