Summary/Abstract: The Second World War didn’t have only a strong impact on social, economic and politic life from all around the world, but changed forever the destiny of the contemporaries. There are many testimonies of people who where overheard in this fight , one side or other, and lived moments of terror, violence, humiliations or death. Is the case of two of the Romanian intellectuals who, after 23 august 1944, were found in the middle of a huge theatre of war, Germany: the writer Constantin Virgil Gheorghiu and the General Ion Gheorghe.
