Summary/Abstract: The revival of numerous pre-war Polish organizations and institutions was difficult, with tensions persisting in relations between Poland and Czechoslovakia. Poles living in the disputed Zaolzie (Zaolší) region were hoping to live within the borders of Poland, with the introduction of Czech rule there under Russian pressure having a strongly sobering effect, although the problems remained, including those involving property.
