Summary/Abstract: The study deals comprehensively with literary activities of professors and students of the Olomouc University that was between the end of 16th and the beginning of 19th centuries run by the Jesuits. In the overall production written in Latin, the author of the study finds three basic genres. Congratulatory anthologies, so called carmina gratulatoria, were occasional prints published to commemorate the award of an academic title – they represent the least interesting material. In the case of dramatic texts, it is necessary to distinguish between original and adapted texts, since many of them were shared by different Jesuit colleges. Scientific literature, that prevailed mainly in the final phase of the followed period, had some impact even outside the university. The study concludes that the bounds between the university and secular circles had been one sided. While some of the dramas were intended also for the citizenry and scientific texts served to broader expert public, the influence of mundane public on the university was probably minimal.
