Introduction to Volume 7, Issue 1

Summary/Abstract: In August of 2013 we set out to publish a special issue of the American Journal of Entrepreneurship. Specifically we were looking for papers regarding Human Resource Management (HRM) in Entrepreneurship. This is not a new area of inquiry. Over the years, several entrepreneurship-focused journals have published HRM-related special issues (cf. Katz, Aldrich, Welbourne, & Williams, 2000; Mitchell, Busenitz, Lant, McDougall, Morse, & Smith, 2002). Likewise, several HRM-related journals have published entrepreneurship-related special issues as well (cf. Barrett, R., & Mayson, S., 2006; Montoro-Sánchez & Soriano, 2011; Tansky, & Heneman, 2003; Tansky, Soriano, & Dobón, 2010).
