Summary/Abstract: Growth and development of institutional investors lead to increasing competition for householder's savement but also have influence on profitability of traditional financial instruments. Such trends have had influence on banking, on such way that banks should shift their traditional credit activities towards investment banking and other activities for no interest profit generation. In same countries where regulation framework did not allow such activities, USA example, institutional investors forced banks to take bigger credit risks in order to keep profitability from traditional banking activities.
