The Museum and the Library of the First Gymnasium in Sarajevo

Summary/Abstract: The unique schooling museum in this region was opened in 1990. in the oldest gymnasium in the Bosnia and Herzegovina whose goal was to bring out of oblivion reserving historical School values. The main activity of the museum is gathering, researching and preserving objects and documents important for the background of the school. Main components of the museum collection, including the original documents, books, photographs and other materials represent the inexhaustible treasury facts conjuring up the school development since its establishment up to the present. The school library stands for the temple of the movable history, and at the same time it can be described as an inspiring museum consisted of the ancient books.
