Summary/Abstract: Users' studies are of crucial importance for the development of libraries, archives and museums (LAM), however, they are rare and overlooked. The development of ICT has caused the phenomenon of "net-generation", which is different in many respects. The LAM group must recognise the differences and take them into account, as it could lose all its users otherwise. Libraries, archives and museums (LAM) are all in the same boat, so it would be sensible to create a unified information infrastructure that would adapt to the needs of the coming net-generation. COBISS.Net is a true example of cooperation between libraries in South-eastern Europe and could serve as encouragement for linking the LAM group.
