Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to analyze the campaign before the referendum on Poland’s accession to the European Union in the context of political consulting. It is worth mentioning that political elites of that time supported European Union enlargement. The first part of the paper reviews the characteristics of referendum, information campaign and referendum campaign. The second one discusses the activity and arguments presented by the president, the government, the political parties and non-governmental organizations
