Summary/Abstract: Hermeneutic Methods of Interpretation in Sociological Research. Paper discusses the recent development of the social and humanistic sciences and gives an argument about unsustainability of a pure quantitative thinking. The development of interpretative sociology and qualitative methods inspired the rise of the method of hermeneutic paraphrase and of method of objective hermeneutics that are described in a detail and their contribution to sociological analysis evaluated. Paper concludes with the idea that neither of the methods exclude a consequent quantitative analysis.
