Summary/Abstract: This article is concerned with the problems of multiculturalism and multicultural approaches to the communities in postcolonial environments. The major task is to identify the patterns in which the dominant and the other culture position themselves towards the problem of narration of the nation, that is the problem of perception of the nation through the stories. It is a study of the positioning towards the problem of collective identity of the nation (and émigré communities) as well as the influence of mainstream culture upon these communities.
