Constitutional Conformity of the Electoral Law in the Light of the Results of Elections to the Chamber of Deputies

Summary/Abstract: The author examines results of parliamentary election from the point of view of disproportions of numbers of votes and number of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies (in Czech: Poslanecká sněmovna). The author finds that mechanism of seats`allotment can not be characterized as „clear proportional representation (system)“. The author concludes that it is necessary to change the Election Act and bring it into harmony with the Constitution of the Czech Republic.
