Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to identify the socio-demographic characteristics of persons employed in the framework of flexible forms of employment in Poland and other countries of the European Union, including in particular the countries of Central-Eastern Europe. The analysis was conducted on the basis of Eurostat data, and in case of Poland, also the data from Social Diagnosis study were used. Conducted analysis allows to conclude that flexible forms of employment have became a popular and effective way to rise the employment level, especially among poorly educated and young people, both on the EU – and particularly – on the Polish labour market, where flexible forms of employment became most popular among all European Union countries.
