Lujo Vojnović in the service of Prince and King Nikola of Montenegro

Summary/Abstract: The author provides a complex account of Count Lujo Vojnović’s political experience in Montenegro and several other Balkan countries from the beginning of the 20th century to 1918. The Montenegrin stage of Vojnovic’s career shows different aspects of his conservative political views and those of Prince and King Nikola’s foreign policy as well. Much of this work is based on Vojnović’s personal documents that are kept at the Croatian State Archives in Zagreb.
