Testing mathematical skills of the first year students at panevezys campus of kaunas university of technology

Summary/Abstract: Students of the first course that enroll Panevezys campus of Kaunas University of Technology have different mathematical readiness. Weak readiness usually results in poor knowledge of higher mathematics and failures during the first or the second terms. In the beginning of the first term students were given tests containing tasks of secondary school mathematical problems in order to suggest extra mathematical lectures for those students who lack necessary skills. Results of these tests are analyzed in this paper.
