NOTE ON THE “INNOCENCE” OF ROMANIAN ARCHAEOLOGY. A PRAGMATIC APPROACH

Summary/Abstract: Within the present article, the author analyzes the evolution of the archaeological theoretical thinking and I follow and define in diachronic perspective, and from a critical point of view, its epistemological foundation. In the end, the author argues for the necessity of a new theoretical path built upon a pragmatic attitude, which would help build functional interfaces between researchers of various scientific backgrounds and integrate the archaeological practice within its current context.
