THEME AND MOTIF OF LYRICAL DISTICH IN THE FRAME OF BOSNIACS’ ORAL LYRICS

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with consideration of themes and motifs which are present in a specific poetic lyrical form that is marked in literature by the term bećarac, registered on the south-Slavic area mostly in the form of ten-syllable distich. Through the short view of theoretical shaping of the lyrical form, we try to draw attention to the fact since the term bećarac was present in literature on these areas, and how it attracted the folklorists by its poetical characteristics, and also whether the term bećarac completely corresponds to all shapes of poetical phenomenon registered in the form of distich on the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, mostly in the second part of 20. Century.
