Summary/Abstract: The Oronymy of Džbán, Krivoklátská vrchovina and Horovická pahorkatina The main goal of this article is to shortly introduce the graduation theses concerning oronymy and to inform about sequent findings. By complete gathering of oronymical material from three monitored areas – Džbán, Krivoklátská vrchovina and Horovická pahorkatina, a total number of 327 oronyms has been obtained and this allows the authoress to realize detailed word-formative and lexical-semantic analysis. Lexicographic character of the thesis has enabled to digestedly note down and introduce all ascertained information. General findings for language analysis are as follows: In terms of structural groups the most dominating groups are primary monadic derivative names (e.g. Babka) and multielement determinative names (e.g. Kozí vrch). Regarding affixes – 26 different suffixes and 1 prefix were used during formation of oronyms in specified areas; their most common functions were diminutive function and possessive function. In terms of semantic analysis the most frequent type is primary designation of ground forms (more than one third of all oronyms – e.g. Homole, Skalka), followed by oronyms motivated by surnames (e.g. Šnárova hora) and size (for example Malý vrch). All significant categories from semantic and motivation classifier elaborated for oronyms by Jitka Malenínská are represented within the oronymy of Džbán, Krivoklátská vrchovina and Horovická pahorkatina. Main effort of the thesis was to contribute to oronymy of the whole Czech Republic with analysing completely a new part.
