Summary/Abstract: The aim of the current paper is to highlight that the novel JapiŃa by Marin Sorescu can be intergrated among Postmodern writings. This idea is sustained by the fact that stylistic hybridity is a noticeable characteristic of the novel under discussion and a main feature of Postmodern Aesthetics. Hues identifiable as far as the discourse is concerned and the permanent shift from one register to another justify the label: Postmodern novel. This inference claims for reconsideration: Marin Sorescu, though associated with the 60s Generation, is a Postmodern writer.
