Summary/Abstract: The significance and the presence of Hristo Botev in the historic, cultural and aesthetic life on the Balkans are viewed in a new perspective. The concept of national intimacy, which was most popular in the period of the Bulgarian Renaissance, is constructed. The significant persons of that time – Levski, Karavelov, Paisii and Botev put first the public and the personal – intimate offer it thus turning into social. The nominative chair personal – public – national is studied in both poetical and epistolary art of the poet.
