Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the discourse related to Argentine intergenerational negotiation of memory. In order to capture this vast discursive area, it considers two relevant areas that illustrate the process mentioned above: the literary and the curricular. Thus, the paper dwells upon representative literary pieces that have memory as a thematic core. At the same time, it refers to recent studies and educational initiatives that pretend to capture or shape the youth’s understanding and attitude to the question of memory. The underlying force that gives substance to these lines is therefore the strong belief that the literary voices, along with those coming from the humanities, in general, provide an invaluable insight with regard to the assimilation of civic-related values, and that their role should be acknowledged and carefully rethought in educational agendas that promote the fostering of both justice and tolerance among the adult citizens to-be.
