Wojciech Suchodolsoki's poetical picture from the time of Four-Year Seym

Summary/Abstract: The main idea of this article is to show the picture of Wojciech Suchodolski (a well-known representative from Chelm and prominent parliamentary orator) against a background of poetical pieces from the time of Four-Year Seym. This active politician, mostly connected with the party of hetman Franciszek Ksawery Branicki, became a subject of the parliamentary satire. Worth-emphasizing is the role of Franciszek Zablocki in uncovering his destructive activity. Moreover, all attempts aiming to establish Suchodolski’s influence finally failed. It appeared to be impossible to put up with all attacks and shame.
