Summary/Abstract: Usage of columns in architecture is a tradition that started since the Neolithic period and continues until today by developing in time. In this study, columned halls of which prototypes were first discovered in the geography of Iran, architectural features of the halls, interior decoration elements and examples of the halls that were developed in time have been mentioned. In this respect, development, plan and comparison in analogical perspective of premise and contemporaneous types of the halls and apadanas in the region of Iran -that we know as a hypostyle architectural example-, searching regional influences and differences were aimed to reveal.
