ISSUES ON CONSISTANCY CHECHING DOCUMENTS ON A COMPUTER SYSTEM

Summary/Abstract: Most of the organizations are basing their day to day activity on the information and the rules stored in documents. Therefore, the problem of the retrieving the information and experience in the informational systems of the organizations is vital. This article mentions the main aspects related to the capitalization of the information and experience in information system. Two main information categories can be identified: procedural data (internal rules, laws, external agreements, etc.) and fact data which is or should be stored in the documents of the organizations. The article is focused on the functionalities a document management information system should offer in order to be used for managing not only documents but also the contained information. Still, the focus of the article is not on the presentation of the available document management systems, but of the concepts and of the way in which these concepts are implemented inside the existing document management systems.
