Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the work of the Franciscan friar Marijan Šunjić in the field of graphia problems during the National Renaissance Period, mainly by the formation of the Latin character system. His contribution in this respect was positively rated even by Gaj himself, considering it very useful in the creation of universal phonetic script.
