Summary/Abstract: Management by values is becoming a modern standard for managing organization and its most important asset - people. While responding to the challenges the article emphasize the meaning of the relationship between individual and organizational values for the organization, its possibility to become the source of competitive advantage, and how managers should communicate organizational values to the employees for the benefit of the company. The aim of this study is to analyze the fit between individual values, organizational culture, and organizational (espoused) values implemented by managers as a part of long term strategy published on the company’s website. The fit as an important determinant of job satisfaction, loyalty and commitment can be measured by correlations between research variables. The object of our research is Lithuanian IT and telecommunication service provider and its employees. To achieve the aim of the paper the adapted methods were used - Cameron and Quinn (CVF), Rokeach (RVS). The results of the study indicate that significant correlations between individual and organizational values and organizational culture exist.
