The Home as a Space of Belonging and Recognition

Summary/Abstract: This paper examines some aspects of the ideas of habitation and home. The argument based on the conception of a rhetorical territory of V. Descombes represents home as a space of mutual understanding with the others with whom one shares his/her life. In so far as belonging to a home implies its confirmation by the others home is considered to be a space of recognition.
