Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with three works by Stefan Baley on the psychological interpretation of literature, which were written in the inter-war period. The author reconstructs Baley’s analytical method and points out that the Polish psychologist was clearly inspired by Freudian thought, although he himself does not acknowledge this.
