Summary/Abstract: In this piece the author shows us the work of the grammar school professor Krešimir Filić (1891. – 1972.) as a museum worker and historian of the Varaždin area. The first part shows his work on foundation and development of the city museum of Varaždin, from the exhibition related to the history of art of the city of Varaždin from 1923. – 1957., when he retires. In the second part, a historiographical overview of his history-related work that speak about the different themes related to Varaždin.
