Summary/Abstract: Daniel Daianu starts his analysis having as point of departure Gaspar Milkos Tamas' statement: “The politics of the left belongs to democracy”. Thus, having this assertion in mind the author of this article depicts a series of thoughts on Marx, post-communist left, post-communism vs. post-capitalism, the resurrection of state interventionism, the results of the EU elections taking place in June 2009, having in the background one of the worst economic crises since the second World War, the dialogue between left and right in Romania etc.
