Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the research of foreign experience. There is tourist’s review of Soviet Russia as a part of the international tour in eight European countries. We can look through opinions of travelling Americans, politicians, scientists, teachers, priests in the unpublished travel notes and find new stories of Leningrad’s life on the local periodicals. Scholars focused on the attempts of ordinary people, they reduced global tensions through personal contact and communication in the conditions imminent threat of a war.
