IT&C – A BASE INSTRUMENT FOR TRANSFORMING INFORMATION SOCIETY IN KNOWLEDGE SOCIETY

Summary/Abstract: The migration from Informational society to Knowledge society will produce changes in all fields but especially in education and research. The invention of the electronic computer, almost 6 decades ago, and the rapid development of IT&C has led to major changes regarding information storage, fast searching and its transmission to any destination and distance. Both universities and students can use in the formation process computers, internet access, educational software, e-books, online platforms – all at an accessible price – to achieve acquirement and testing of knowledge. Meanwhile the students get more and more used with this new way of studying, a way that they will use during their whole life for the continuous learning – an essential field of Knowledge society.
