Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to provide an opinion on the regulation of freedom of conscience in the constitutions of European Union countries (with the exception of Italian and Polish regulations). The author concludes that freedom of conscience is guaranteed in all European Union countries. In most of them, it is expressed explicitly in the Constitution, and in other countries, it is guaranteed under Article 9 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of 4 November 1950.
