Summary/Abstract: The article addresses questions about the challenges facing contemporary societies in the postmodern age. It presents the differences between modern and postmodern societies. The ability to resolve “cultural wars” is the main challenge for postmodern societies. Conflicts over values have been treated here as the effect of different microstrategies for creating a sense of understanding. This point of view leads to new opportunities to regulate and resolve these type of conflicts.
