Summary/Abstract: This study analyzed the effects of proxy respondents -a source of measurement error- on the results of the household surveys, by using the data set of the Household Labor Force Survey conducted in NUTS-2 TRBI Region, Turkey. It was found out that use of proxy respondent method increased and use of self-respondent method decreased the simple response variance and inconsistency index of the data set.
