Summary/Abstract: In this reference author analyses the perspective of public marketing and its application în the activity of Romanian institutions of local public administration. în introduction there are presented some negative aspects of the context of public administration where the public marketing is to be implemented în the relative close future. în the first chapter some specifications are made concerning some law demands about application of marketing principles în public administration în our country. Also the author shortly describes the advantages of marketing application, the strategy and specificity of public marketing mix. în the final chapter there are presented some causes of tergiversation în applying the science of marketing în the activity of local public administration institutions emphasizing the need of a quick response of this kind of institutions to the actual law percepts, combined with the need of adaptation of the strategies for a better public relation and a better performance în service of local community expectations.
