INFLUENCE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATIONAL SYSTEMS IN MODERN MILITARY STRATEGY

Summary/Abstract: The production and use of information through new information and communications technology, is no longer limited by the geographical distance and is today the driving force behind the globalization process. The impact of information and communications technology on military strategy is that, through technology, the military’s power is made stronger. The new technologies are more able to accomplish their purpose and reason for gaining informational superiority. Military strategy on technology is pushing forward the new and improved inventions to take place to benefit the military with the desire to innovate and also dominate. Our opinion is that the success in future warfare conflicts will depend largely on how quickly and how effectively different technologies can be implemented in the military structure.
