Summary/Abstract: Not only do women possess valuable and relevant skill sets, in certain contexts their inclusion is an operational imperative. In peace and stability operations, notably in Iraq and Afghanistan, female officers contribute substantially to widening the net of intelligence gathering, performing the cordon and search of women, and assisting in the aftermath of sexual violence.
