A CHANGING WORLD: COSMOPOLITANISM AND GOVERNANCE, GLOBALIZATION AND ”GLOCALIZATION”

Summary/Abstract: The study indicates the main dimensions of change in what concerns our complex and multi-powers world, under the storming influence of the processes of globalization. Change has many facets. From this perspective, the article evaluates the scope of the relation between cosmopolitanism and governance, and then, between globalization and ”glocalization”. This multidisciplinary approach aims to investigate the matter of study, meanwhile not over-simplifying it. The results indicate rather the adaptability of the democratic nation state than its disappearance.
