Summary/Abstract: The communities with different judicial status were living together in the Middle Ages in Europe and this fact was a characteristic of the society. The judicial practices became laws and on these grounds, the communities (delimited geografically) benefitted from different privileges and and formed different unitary judicial corps. A special characteristic of the Kingdom of Hungary was to give special privileges to certain ethnical groups. In Transylvania, the saxons benefitted from the most extended and most durable system of privileges.
