Summary/Abstract: Through a sum of interviews, testimonies and dialogues with important personalities in the world of Romanian theatre, this article proposes a short foray in Radu Penciulescu’s theatrical journey as a director in the ’70, focusing on his approach of G. Büchner’s Woyzeck. The free form of play he started to put on stage after leaving the management of Teatrul Mic, his personal aesthetics and position in front of the stage, of the actor and of the audience, are some of the aspects presented here.
