A Contribution to the Study of the Development of Ethnology and Anthropology in Post-Socialist Serbia

Summary/Abstract: The paper represents an attempt to analyse the development of the discipline of ethnology/anthropology in Serbia in the post-socialist period. Based on certain measurable criteria, changes in the conceptions of ethnology and anthropology within the key institutions are analysed. These changes were mostly pertaining to relations between institutions, but also interpersonal relationships within the institutions themselves. For the purpose of contextualization of the studied processes, I have used discourses of identity and power.
