Summary/Abstract: The literary work of Kadare, in its integrity, makes one of the rare cases in which the connections with the mythical references embrace almost all the levels of creativity. And, nevertheless the weight of gravity doesn’t drag this work of art toward the structural and style of speech of the archaic models. On the contrary, as it has been noticed even from the qualified receivers, being them Albanians or foreigners, the mythical universe, in the way how it is shaped and operated inside the kadarean artistic universe, has fed the signs of modernity. The literary modulation of the myth is carried out by Kadare for two reasons, clearly articulated in his literary work; on the one hand, through this process he has made possible the approach with the existential terrains and the anthropological environments of our ethnicity, on the other hand, through the universal codes and tidings that the myths carry, has made it possible to create an universal work of art. For examination it is taken the novel “The Eagle”, as one of the creations where the mythical symbolism is recaptured by Kadare not only in the function of the hypo text but even as a primary element for the poetic instrumentals. This prose is raised on a great number of principal semantic axis, some of which, as the design of hell, the labyrinth nature of this hell ,the rendezvous with the magical bird, the dramatic effort to come out of the underground world, and the mythical series in general. The novel “The Eagle” is a model of the modern prose which relies on the eternal references of the creative awareness, and through them creates a connotative connection with a multiple realit.
